2 July - 30 July 2025 (2, 3 or 4 weeks)
Shrewsbury is well-known as a traditional independent school. It was founded in 1552 and has Charles Darwin amongst its famous 'old boys'. It is situated across the River Severn from the lively market town of Shrewsbury. Manchester and Birmingham airports are approximately 1.5 hours by road; London Heathrow 3-4 hours.
It has an impressive campus with both traditional and modern buildings. The school's outstanding sporting facilities include sports pitches, an astroturf, tennis, squash and fives courts, an indoor sports hall and 25m 6-lane swimming pool. There are large IT suites, an art studio and a theatre.
My three weeks with Discovery Summer was a great experience. I had a lot of fun. I liked meeting new people form all over the world, from UK, Spain, Myanmar, Italy, Denmark.

Shrewsbury UK campus is much bigger than Shrewsbury Bangkok. The buildings here are old and traditional and there is so much space with the the fields the football pitches. The equipment is better and there is much more variety in the programme. We like the communication in the classrooms but best of all we've made so many new friends - from Denmark, Italy, Spain, Sweden, France and Belgium.

Before I arrived here in Discovery Summer, I had no idea how incredible my experience would be. I have formed outstanding friendships that I am sure will last for the rest of my life. The only negeative of this experience was having to say goodbye to all the amazing pupils and staff. Thank you for allowing me to become a part of such an amazing company.
